Your home page lists the 10 most recent dogs you own/have owned.
Check your personal details by typing in your surname to the Search box – select your name and it will show you your own Person page. Select Edit this person and add however much detail you would like - country and county/state would be useful.
Under the Person menu on the lefthand side you can also click on the following options.

In the Notes section please write a few lines about yourself, how you came into the breed, and what activities you are involved in with your dogs.
To amend any information about dogs you own click on the dog’s name to access its main page and select "Edit this dog"
To add or correct an Owner or Breeder click on the "List" button. This brings up a "Find Person" dialogue box. Type in the surname of the Owner/Breeder or part of it - the text will turn red which means it has matched more than one person. Click the "List" button to choose the intended person. Add or correct Sire or Dam in the same way as Owner or Breeder
Notes - Add here a few lines about this dog - character, major achievements, working ability etc.
To edit a dog’s Activities or Titles select Edit tick appropriate boxes.
Access a dog's main page by searching or other method (ie from the Home page if it is your own dog). On the lefthand side is the Dog menu

2. Health - edit data by clicking the "Edit this dog". Under “Diseases” please put here any diagnosed conditions that you think may help us identify any problem trends in the future - similarly with cause of death.
3. Awards – to add a new result. Check whether an event is already listed (ie Advanced search – event - working test - 2007) – if it is click on New event result and select class level and award. Otherwise you will have to add New event. At the moment there may not be appropriate awards and class levels for all countries but please let us know what is needed here. If you want to see full results for a particular Event click on the date - this brings up an Event Result box, then click on the Event and it will show you the full results at that Event.
4. Pedigree - this opens in a 3 generation pedigree - click on the four, five and six options from the top right corner. There will eventually be a Health and Activities pedigree overlay too.
5. Progeny - this gives you a list of all the puppies sired by this dog/produced by this bitch.
6. Siblings – this lists full siblings, half siblings on the sire’s side and half siblings on the dam’s side.
7. Photos - Click on thumbnails to see a bigger version. Add photos by clicking on "Edit this dog" and then choosing "Add photo". You can add a caption that appears with the larger picture.
To find a dog, type all or part of the dog's name (or its pet name) into the "Search for" box on the Home page. Click Search and select dog from the list.
This simple Search may also include people, kennels, events, awards and countries. To exclude these from the list you can do an Advanced search, or expand the "Filter search results" box.
Click on "Advanced search" at the bottom of the Search block . Then click on the appropriate Search for Dogs, People or Events.
Here you can select any combination and search ie liver males born in the UK in 2007 – your selection remains in the field so you can go back and refine it. Please note fields must be cleared if you want to do a different type of search.
You can search dogs with certain activities. Clear any previous search fields first. Select Advanced Search – Dogs and set Activities = Breed Show and Working test. It will return dogs who are involved in both disciplines.
You can list all people in a given county or state. From "Advanced search" click "People" in the top right corner. Type "Herts" into County/State contains" box; then click Search.
To search for breeders in a particular country set "Breeder matches" to Yes and "Country" to, say, Netherlands.
To see what working tests were held in 2007 select Advanced Search – Events – Type of Event = working tests – Date = 2007.
To see where a judge has judged previously, click Advanced Search – Events – Judges – Murray – to return events where Chris Murray has judged before.
The Advanced search results will give you a list - all the headings have toggles and are sortable in either direction. Click on the heading - ie "Name" and it underlines and a hyperlink pointer appears - keep clicking and it will keep sorting!
To Advance Search Health fields click on Advanced Search - Dogs - then the Health fields drop-down.
To exclude results from a field put a minus sign before it. ie To search dogs "affected" - in the Gonioscopy field type "affected -unaffected". This will exclude dogs which are "unaffected".
From a "Person" page you can get information about breeders/owners in a particular country. The Country (ie UK) is a hyperlink - click on that and it opens in View Country screen which shows how many owners, breeders, dogs in that country (together with an option to select a different country.

Dogs of interest can be “bookmarked” – search for a dog using Search or Advanced Search facility. When viewing the dog’s main page note the “Add bookmark” link in the top right corner. Clicking the link makes the dog appear on the Home Page in the “Bookmarked Items” box.
People, Events, Countries and Kennels can be bookmarked too.
On your Home Page there is a box called “List” on the bottom left hand corner (ie All dogs, All breeders etc). You can add your own lists:
Example – do an Advanced search for flatcoats that field trial in the UK.
Click on “Save results to a list” – give it a title and click OK. This now appears in the List box.
Click the new link and see the dogs.
You can remove dogs from the list by placing a tick beside them and clicking Remove selected. You can add results of subsequent searches to the same list too. A single dog can be added to the list – go to a Dog’s main page – click on List options at bottom left hand corner – select add to a list and select a list or create a new one. You can delete a list by clicking Edit list and selecting Delete.
Photographs should be in JPG format with a size of 600 pixels.
Under Reports there is now a "Virtual Mating" option - input a Sire and a Dam and it will show a full five generation pedigree in an Excel document and with "Duplicates Highlighted" ticked it will show dogs duplicated within that pedigree highlighted in different colours. You may find it easier to see whole pedigree if you change Zoom to 75%.
The same feature has also been added to an individual dog's record. Under 4. Pedigree you can Select "Download to Excel" which will show you the pedigree in the same format as above and under 5. Progeny you can Select "Virtual Mating" which will give you the option to enter a Sire or Dam and see what the pedigree would look like.
You will also be able to use this feature for printing pedigrees for your new litter. "Test Mating" dog will remain so that you can check on the health data for a prospective sire and dam.
