13/4/10 - Many thanks to Mike Herwin of World Pedigrees who has allowed me to use his data. His database goes back to pre 1900 and includes a lot of data on dogs outside the UK. There are over 13,000 dogs on his database and will be a fantastic addition to the site and fill in many of the missing gaps.
1/2/10 - The fifth issue of the excellent Italian Retrievers Club magazine is now available on line http://www.retriever-magazine.it/.
26/11/09 - Advertise your dog in the International Flat Coat Directory / 2010 Speciality Catalogue of the Flat Coated Retriever Society of Alberta and Flat Coated Retriever Society of Canada. For more info click here
8/8/09 more 1987 & 1988 born dogs added to database in Aug'09, listed as black but might be liver. Please advise if you can help identify these dogs. See REPORTS/Litter Reports/1987/ UK
Black Dogs carrying Liver or Yellow Report - see Reports above. Pre 1989 colour was not published in the Breed Records so there may be some dogs included in this report who were Liver.
Under Reports there is a "Virtual Mating" option - input a Sire and a Dam and it will show a full five generation pedigree in an Excel document and with "Duplicates Highlighted" ticked it will show dogs duplicated within that pedigree highlighted in different colours. You may find it easier to see the whole pedigree if you change Zoom to 75%. The same feature has also been added to an individual dog's record under 4. Pedigree. "Test Mating" dog will remain so that you can check on the health data for a prospective sire and dam.
